That's how I would do it. Get some regular thin graph paper. Lay out
the yard, trees, and other fixed items.

On a separate sheet of graph paper (same scale), lay out the tower
base and anchors.

Then, overlay the two pieces of graph paper and backlight them.
You can then move and rotate the tower around with respect to
the fixed obstacles. When you get it just right, staple the two
sheets together. Then you can measure the location of your
base and anchors with a ruler, with respect to a corner of the
house or some other fixed point.
