The only thing that is at all problematic to me is that with that design, 
you may have up to 3 sets of relay contacts in the signal path, compared 
with one set for traditional relay boxes such as the TopTen.  On the other 
hand, I have used a Heath 4-position switch which often has 2 sets of 
contacts in the signal path, for 6 years with never a sign of any 
problem.  I believe it is quite close in design to the Ameritron RCS-4V
