[TowerTalk] phased dipole matching

Is anyone using phased dipoles?  I seemed to remember a local ham using a
pair of phased sloping dipoles on 75 meters (endfire) and I would like to
try them myself.  It seems to me he fed the array directly with 50 ohm coax
and used 470 ohm ladder line for the phasing line.  Has anyone else done
this and can you tell me what to do or what not to do?
