I've pestered the boys at fluid motion enough on this topic.
The present motor housing won't hold 33' of sprocketed metal
strip.  They'd have to retool for new molded housings.  That's
why the 40-6 BigIR vertical has a metal pole at its lower
extremity.  

My suspicion is that the Mertel's need to hear from folks who
want 40 and 30, if they are to appreciate the demand.  Having
the 4 el 20-10 beam was a greater market opportunity, which 
didn't entail retooling.  

If you'd like to see 40, you need to let them know.
