I will only refer to the pile of arguments on eHam.net articles about loading 
coils, rec.radio.amateur.antenna newsgroup and Tom's and my webs. If anyone 
can disprove 7 points I mentioned there, I will listen.

Measure it. You can do it with $2.45 LCD aquarium thermometers stuck on the 
Hustler 80m coil. If you get the same temperature at both ends, then I will 
plow your field, do the dishes, etc. for life.
