[TowerTalk] Replacing Yaesu Rotators

I'm in the process of lightning recovery, and found out something that may
be of general interest.

Both my Yaesu rotators are dead, and in looking at options for repair or
replacement I found out that Yaesu parts department has rotators and
control boxes priced separately. The G-800 is a very good deal, at $192
plus shipping, versus $329 for the non-preset version with control
box. However, Yaesu wants $428 for the G-1000 rotator only. That's only
$70 less than a typical retail price for the G-1000DXA with the presettable
control box. Incomprehensible, but they insist, "That's the price."
