I would hope that someone (or more than one) from the ARRL (and just hams
at large) will be attending the conference at the end of September.

Sunday's afternoon tutorial:
This pre-conference tutorial will outline the business, technical
and regulatory
issues for BPL in the U.S. Trials are underway in the U.S.
by investor-owned
and municipal utilities, showing that the technology
is real. The
questions now are when will BPL be commercialized, what
are the business
opportunities, and what regulations will impact
its deployment.
This tutorial will explain how BPL works and describe
the state of the
technology; report on developments in the field; examine
the prospects for
BPL in a challenging economic market; and identify
and evaluate the
regulatory challenges and opportunities for BPL in the U.S.
Monday has several sessions of interest... The executive roundtable at 10AM
will, among other things, "discuss in an open forum their experiences in
BPL trials and deployment."
There's also a talk about enhancing BPL access to capital markets
Tuesday's first session is a "regulatory overview", followed by a session
with folks from FCC OET (Ed Thomas), NTIA (Jack Zinman), etc. As the blurb
says: "Brainstorm directly withthe key policymakers to develop policies
that promote the deployment of BPL!"
Wednesday has a BPL Business Case Workshop
Many open Q&A forums particularly on Monday.
