[TowerTalk] Winch friction pads

Which Fulton winch are you using?  I had a 1500 that the pads literally
disintegrated on (fulton sent me the pads free also) and found it almost
impossible to disassemble the winch, so I ended up buying a Fulton
1550.  The winch squeal is a common problem with Fulton winches.  My
"new" winch that has been in use several years now and squeals like a
banshee but the pads are still in good shape.  The whole neighborhood
knows when I'm lowering my TRIEX WT51.  I understand from others that
the Fulton 2550 doesn't squeal and has a higher lifting capacity and the
bolt pattern is similar to the 1550.
