Hy-Gain (MFJ) still sells the parts, but the shipping is outrageous!!
(shipping cost more than the parts did here to Calgary)

I haven't heard this before, but I think you might end
up with too much on too small of a boom (see the pro-57 in the 
tri-bander report) Just a feeling, not any real experience.
