Interesting?  Lightning strikes wherever the excess electrons can be
transferred.  Pretty hard to predict where this will happen without
extensive knowledge and monitoring equipment.

Now, take it easy on me; I don't even have a tower up  yet.
 
I was in NM last week when we watched over 2 hours  of fantastic lightning
flashes, many striking the  ground.
 
We say NONE strike any of the 300 foot commercial  towers in the Southern NM
desert.  I thought that was VERY  interesting.
