The higher location will yield a lower take-off angle for improved DX
contacts.  However, short range contacts may suffer a bit.  If you have the
means, add the extra height and another tribander.  You can phase them
together for some really good results.

Would anyone know if it would be worth the investment of time and money to
add another 12 ft to my existing tower. It is presently at 48 feet and I was
thinking of bringing it up to 60 feet. I'm basically looking for a
performance upgrade for my small house lot.  I only have a tribander up
there and this would give me a half wave length on 20 meters from the
ground. Wish I had a modeling program. Thanks in advance.
