[TowerTalk] Vertical Mounting

Lew,
The base of most commercial vertical antennas is a long, metal plate
that is bent at both ends and has a 'hole' at the upper end through
which the antenna is mounted [and from which it is insulated by
something like PVC] and has some form of attachment to hold the base of
the antenna on the lower end. This plate is attached to a base pipe
[driven in the ground] by two U-bolts and hardware.
IF you wish to swivel the antenna down, you could add a 'parallel' plate
that would attach to the base pipe and then be attached to the 'bent'
antenna attachment by a couple bolts and standoffs.
To rotate, remove ONE of the bolts/standoffs.
