[TowerTalk] Bobtail Curtain using aluminum verticals

Doug,

Should work just fine. Assume you will need to guy the end elements for
the stress the top wire adds to the element tips. Two guys on each end of
the array should do the trick to keep the wire horizontal and the elements
vertical. What element supports are you considering to use? 4 X 4
pressure treated wood?

Regards,

Subject: [TowerTalk] Bobtail Curtain using aluminum verticals

I was thinking about putting up bobtail curtain for 40m out in my backyard.
The problemis there are no trees anywhere near that can be used to support
wire. If I were to put up three aluminum verticals, I could do it. Anyone
done this? If so, how much did you have to adjust lengths? Is it worth
the trouble? I have had decent luck with just a fullsized groundplane on
40m up 20ft or so.
