Handy conversions (approximate)
1 cubic yard = 3/4 cubic meter (it's surprisingly different.. as another
poster mentioned, that 3" is important)
1 square meter = 11 square feet (this one is useful if buying cans of paint
for your apartment walls, or renting an apartment.. 100 m2 apartment is
fairly nice sized)
A 250g steak is on the smallish side.
A kilo of cheese is a lot of cheese, especially if it's only you who is
going to be eating it.
In any event, in round numbers, that cubic meter of concrete weighs about
2.4-2.5 metric tonnes (2400-2500 kg)
