That is correct. My apology for the misunderstanding. Cadweld is a brand by
Erico, so is OneShots. Erico stands for Electric Rail Improvement Company
and their first product was Cadweld. From there many other products came on
board including OneShots.

If I may, Cadwelds are a registered product line made by Erico Corp of which
one of them is the OneShot types. You can determine the type of mold and PN
you need from the erico.com website.

You are correct. Cadweld, Exothermic, or One Shots ARE made for this
purpose. They are the same thing. To clarify, Cadweld is a company, not a
type of welding or product. Exothermic Welding, is a type of welding that
companies like Cadweld provides. One shot is a product that makes Exothermic
Welded connections, and the One Shot is a product by Cadweld. Hopefully this
helps.

So how well would brazing with a Bernzomatic or similar Propane or MAPP
torch work for bonding copper ground wires to copper-clad steel ground
rods?

I suppose someone makes some wire to use in a MIG welder to weld copper
but I'd be surprised if there was. Copper and brass are usually brazed
or soldered. Not welded.
