I just got home from an extended trip and came across your email.

Looking at the above articles, you'll note quite a variation in how
much concrete folks use and what sizes of pipe or I-beam have been
used.  I would just like to point out that my station was hit by a
tornado last year.  Four towers were destroyed, but none of my
elevated guy points failed, even though the forces were great enough
to put nearly 180 degree bends in Rohn 55.
