Obviously, you are absolutely correct, and I'm the idiot.  I meant the  
pennant (flag configuration).  We did NOT put up K9AY's loop.  My  apologies to all 
for the rather blatant brain fart.

I think you're mixing metaphors here. 

The K9AY loop and the  Pennant are different antennas.  K6SE is the 'author' 
of the Pennant.
