[TowerTalk] Tower Base Size??

Hello all,

The plans for an LM-470 base call for a
hole 3.5 X 3.5 X 7.5 Feet deep.  (Aprox 3.4 yards).

My question is, would a hole 4.5 X 4.5 X 7 Feet deep
(Aprox 5.3 yards) be acceptable even though it is
0.5 feet less deep ???
