[TowerTalk] 2 Rigs/4 Antennas

I see others have responded regarding the receiver front-end protection
issue. Stubs would be a cost effective way of handling this. I use the ICE
419 band pass filters.

As for antenna / rig switching, I use a 'cross-over' switch with relays from
Top Ten Devices. Check out http://www.qth.com/topten/apnote4.htm for the
way to do this.

I use my first coax switch (Alpha-Delta four position) to select the radio
and subsequent switches to select antennas.  Think of the switch backwards;
four inputs-one output. That way any of four radios can hook to any of
eight (or more if you continue to daisy chain switches) antennas. Only
problem with mine is the switch knobs become loose over time. A screwdriver

for the screw head is a permanent fixture at W9GE. 73 bob de w9ge
