 There were two guys on each anchor. The top guy was

You are asking for problems when you electrically connect
anchors to the tower or anything else that might have a
voltage difference to the anchor, including a ground rod or
radials. The exception would be an intentional sacrificial
conductor or something that is the same material.

Over the years electrolysis can eat right through the rod.
