Norman,

Thanks for the tip on locating the length.  I took the boom down from
storage and it appears the beta match was a mod.  On the TOP side of the
boom was the original self tapping screw hole, which means someone just
rotated the mounting 180 degrees I think.  I have one more response with
a measurement that finalizes the hairpin.  I did not know that it was
stainless steel though.
