Dick:
3/16	1x7	5,000 lbs.
¼”	1x7	6,650 lbs.
5/16”	1x7	11,200 lbs.
Typical pretensioning is 10% of the breaking strength.
If you’re ever on the road again, go to www.wirelessestimator.com . You’ll
find a host of information available on guy wire, grounding and other
specifications and pricing.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Steel guy wire breaking strength?

Hi guys,

I'm on the road and don't have my Rohn book handy. Would someone please let

me know what the breaking strength is on the following size steel guy
cables:
3/16", 1/4", and 5/16"?

Thank You!

Dick- K9OM
