This conversation comes up on a regular basis and should be in the archives.
The traditional article was in a 1956 QST and repeated in ARRL books for
several years.  A good update was in a early 1980's QST by N0AFW (now N0FW).
Glad to see W9IIX
now has a commercial version.  I have a W9IIX (then WD9IIX) ladder mast that
has served me well since the mid 80's.

The other option is a tram.

In any case be sure to install steps before planting in the ground.  The
power company can help with purchasing.

I also advocate using one set of guys about 80% of the way up.  Either metal
or kevlar will do.  This assures the pole is held steady in high winds.
