Maybe the Phillystran is too high.
Maybe the EHS is too low.
I have no idea. I just know they are hugely different when I
use the same OD materials.

I can't see how vastly different stiffness or surface
hardness materials would read the same because the Loos
deflects a **very small length** of material between two
close-spaced fixed stops. It measures that deflection at the
end of a calibrated lever a larger distance away. It would
be interesting to see how various materials and diameters
compare with that setup.
I think it would be significantly less material sensitive if
the two fixed posts were further apart.
