[TowerTalk] Hygain tower base dimensions

Hello group,

Sorry for the earlier blank post......I forgot to turn off HTML formatting.

I'm new to this, so please bear with me. I have searched the archives for
this answer, but with no specific results, so maybe one of you "enlightened
ones" will have an answer for me?

I have recently acquired an old Hygain HG54HD crank-up tower with a
tilt-over base. I can't seem to find out how much concrete I should pour for
the base, nor what the dimensions should be. If anyone on the reflector has
the answer - or perhaps a rule-of-thumb for such things, I'd sure appreciate
it.

The fully extended tower is 54' and will not be guyed. It cranks down to
approximately 21 feet in length before tilting. I am in coastal SC, so
Tropical winds are a fact of life during the Summer. I don't plan to leave
it standing under threat of a Hurricane, though.

Any info appreciated.

73,

Butch K4NAU
