I have a 110 foot self supporter that was installed new in feb of 1971. It is
standing now, and we want to take it down but we need to know what it is.

It has solid steel legs with solid rod X bracing. I have drawn some diagrams
of the base and base section at http://mail.illiana.net/~bryan/tower.png. The
are 6 sections, 5 20 foot sections and 1 10foot section that has a rotor and
mast on it now. Looks like it has a 20' mast with 3 big old hf antennas on
it.

The connections between the sections are just cups the fit over the legs of
the section under it. the top of each section has a vertical rod that
reinforces the horizontial rod as well.

I have been to the top and inspected it, it was painted with cold galv paint
about 15 years ago and has very little surface rust. It is also quite sturdy
at the top, better then some i have been up on :-)

Any ideas who made it and where i can get drawings and a base section for it?

Thanks,
