[TowerTalk] Getting ground rods OUT

When I sold my house 2 yrs ago I was all set to take down the antenna
and tower, which I left up in case another ham was interested. When
closing came, the new owner insisted that if it was on the property, he
wanted it. NO, not a ham, or even had an idea what the tower was for. If
it was there, he wanted it.

So he inherited a 40 ft tower with an elevated 4' x 4' slab 5' deep, an
A3 beam and (3) 8' deep ground rods. Sure saved me some trouble.

Still there today.

I vote for Bill way, I was thinking about the future when some young
wife
tell her husband she wants a swimming pool in the back yard of my old
place.
I left a 4x4x8 and caped with a 12x12x12 pad tie all together by rebar.
Only
10 yard of 4000 mix. and weight 20 tons. And Jim wants 2 grounds rods
out.
By the way I sold the house as is. They should be so lucky. Gene K2QWD

Leave em in. Cut 'em off below ground level with a grinder blade.
