The software is back on-line. It can be accessed from http:/n2ic.topcities.com
(click the VOACAP ArrivalAngles button) or directly from

Many of you have used the elevation angle statistics files included in the new
ARRL Antenna Book CD-ROM. When used in conjunction with antenna and terrain
modeling software, they give you a fair idea of whether an antenna system is
reasonably matched to the predicted arrival angles of stations in the target area.
One characteristic of the arrival angle statistics in the Antenna Book is that
the statistics are averaged over all 12 months, and all 11 years of the sunspot
cycle. It stands to reason that the expected arrival angles may vary
considerably with the height and density of the E- and F-layers.
I have written software that can generate customized elevation angle statistics,
using VOACAP, based on transmitter and receiver location, sunspot number and
month. The output of the software is an elevation angle statistics file that is
compatible with HFTA.
A beta-version of the software can be downloaded from http://n2ic.topcities.com
. Click on the "VOACAP Arrival Angles" button at the top of the page or go to
