[TowerTalk] Orion rotator (follow on)

I posted recently about a rotator that
looked like the OR2800 on M2's web site.
I opened it up and discovered that it
has an AC motor and a 500 ohm pot, not a pulse
generator.  The motor label said Orion
on it.  I am wondering if this is some
older model.  

I have a T2X control box.  It appears
I should be able to use it with this
rotor.  Possible problems would be wrong
pot resistance, or not enough 24VAC power.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts
on this.
