Agreed, but unfortunately wouldn't work for me (and most other people
around here with small lots) because the turning radius would be too
big.  My lot is only 50' wide so fitting a 40m element in 50' would be
tough.  I think a Moxon rectangle would probably meet my needs better
OR a loaded "shorty forty" type element.

I guess you can't please everyone.
