[TowerTalk] Guy wire tension

That's assuming you get the calcs at some point.  The only time you would 
have them is if you actually retained a PE to do the  calcs and you got a copy of 
them. For any tower I have ever erected, there has  never been any kind of 
calcs or installation instructions that came with it so  you're on your own.
 
    As far as guy tension, you didn't say what kind of  guy wire you'll be 
using. For 3/16" EHS (extra high strength) it's rated at  4000# ultimate 
breaking strength so you'd tension it to 400#. Find out the UBS  of your cable and 
use 10% of it.
