[TowerTalk] AM tower available, Ham or broadcast use

Yes, i wondered how much of a deal breaker that would be.   I think there 
are institutional liability concerns having to do with a bunch of guys 
showing up to take it down on their property.

I have no interest in this and am merely the errand boy.   With the Lapp 
insulator and guys included, if it were me and I had it, I'd think about 
using it as a top loaded 1/2 w. tower on 160.  I think the addition of a 
capacitance hat would get it to 1/2 w. while keeping it below the FAA limit 
for paint and lamping.    the one question i have is that the tower's 
construction involves the use of horizontal bars between the legs.   I do 
not know if this makes for a less rugged tower compared to the ones using 
diagonal rods or not.  Maybe it is better or makes no difference.  If 
someone would comment on that I'd appreciate it.

<<<$3500 for an almost 50 year old tower seems a bit expensive to me.  That
would be the equivalent of $175 for a 10' section. >>>
