 Sorry Bill... I guess I look at it differently.Not to drum up more comments about patterns and such (which I will live with better than a tower coming down) but in my opinion, no disrespect meant at all for others, in my opinion it is "cheaping out" that has people going to non-steel. It is the desire to save TIME on cutting and installing insulators on the EHS steel cable and instead going to inferior guying (inferior due to stretch and ease of cutting) to save this time. If my plans were for a simple tribanderor if the stretch were not there I would also go this way as I do not relish the idea of installing 60+ insulators but I would rather feel comfortable that my (overloaded) tower has its best chance of surviving a once in a hundred year storm etc. Mechanically all would have to agree (except for those that would argue ANY point) that EHS is better for the application. That stated I realize (and often "use") the fact that better is relative. And I know that you (and others) would say "I have lots of antennas formany years with no problem"... but I am already relying on anecdotal evidence in overloading the tower... I do not want to add to it by worrying about stretch. Again - no disrespect so please no flames.  By the way - the plan is not for a TA33Jr as was commented on - it is :-75/80 76' dipole (F12 Sigma180-Magnum) @ 137'-2 EL 40 (58' ele) (F12 240N)@ 129'-3 C31XR's @ 122, 82, 42the top ~100' of the tower rotates as well.
