Thanks to Brad for jogging my memory as to the Alpha Spid. Unfortunately I
thought it ran a lot more torque. It's just a tad less than the HDR-300
which didn't prove very sucessful here. OTOH I think most of that was due to
the brake system on the 300.
The prices on these things will scare you. The Alpha Spid is up to near
$900 and the new version of the one I have is now just a tad over $2,000.
I'd have to get the PST-61 HD which has the PST-71 motor to get the
equivelant of the torque of my older unit.
I really want to get a back up unit, but my entheusiasm is waning a bit at
that $2,000 price tag. <sigh> Of course I really want to get a much larger
replacement for the TH-5 too. <:-))
