They do offer a plug and play product.  Just provide the slots on the
breaker panel.

I don't know if you can still find the *big* MOVs, but they must still be 
available. They have an Aluminum bottom plate that can be bolted right to 
the ground buss. Bolt 'em in and tie one to each side of the buss.  It'd be 
a simple addition if the inspector will pass it.

It'd be interesting to see how well something like this would work to keep 
spikes from coming in on the power mains

I have a problem visualizing how I could maintain a single point ground 
system doing this, but OTOH *most* of the electronics in the house, with the

exception of the TV ties into a single point ground system.  Even the 
satellite and TV antennas come in through that point, but the grounds for 
the TV and stereo come from the far corner of the house. They may all 
*eventually* go to the same place but they really need to be the same 
length.
