If you can find new cell site construction going on, check with the crews
that do that. Each new site (at least around here) seems to have a
complete package drop shipped in a shipping container, with a standard
inventory of items to do the outside plant part of the site. This includes
liberal amounts of connectors, spools of cable, nuts, bolts, conduit, coax
clamps, hangars, etc. It also includes LOADS of the rolls of Butyl Rubber
sealers, many of which are in excess of those used in the construction of
the site. Those I saw were rolls, about 4" wide, about 2 ft long, and 1/8"
thick.... a big supply. Extra supplies are often just tossed by the crews
after completion of site.
Anyone looking for 120 ft 'scrap' section of 7/8" Andrews cable?
