DON'T RELY ON HEAT SHRINK TUBING.IT IS NOT VERY WATERPROOF.WRAP A FEW
TURNS OF RUBBER TAPE AND THEN SOME PLASTIC TAPE.THIS WAS A HARD LESSON
LEARNED ON A INCOMMING 480VOLT LINE. WE ADDED CURRENT LIMITERS THAT WERE
ON A POWER POLE.AFTER TWO YEARS THEY STARTED FAILING. THE POWER COMPANY
REWORKED IT. THEY TOLD US THE HEAT SHRINK TUBING EXPANDS AND CONTRACTS
OVER THE YEARS AND ALLOWS MOISTURE TO ENTER. SO THEY JUST WRAPPED THE
ENDS OF THE GOOD CURRENT LIMITERS WITH RUBBER AND PLASTIC TAPE.NO MORE
PROPLEMS.P/S DON'T TAKE YOUR PLANT ENG.FOR GRANTED.
