[TowerTalk] Screw Anchors

Folks:
Appreciate the discussion about screw anchors/deterioration... Now I have an
idea/possible reason for the strain insulators that are always on the power
company's guys. At first I thought it may be some sort of safety to
guarantee that some power company faults will not dangerously energize the
bottom of the guy, with associated human hazards. Maybe another reason is
breaking a path for electrolysis currents travelling from the anchor up to
other, different potential points that would be connected to the guy, save
for the inline insulator. If that is a valid reaon, then that would also
speak to the utility of strain insulators in any ham installation, not only
for limiting RF influences of guys on antenna pattern Is an insulation
break in a guy, a wise idea for purposes of limiting electrolysis currents?
Tnx
