Do not even think about using aluminum for radials... unless you are in some desert. I made a BIG mistake laying out about 5000 feet of Sears #17 aluminum fence wire thinking I was saving a lot over copper . It had mostly dissolved within a few years - leaving me with a mess of short pieces of junk all over the place. K2EK
