based stuff?

Egad! That's totally wrong information. I'm not violating the LXC Prime

Directive to "DO what the manufacturer says" because UST is NOT the cable
manufacturer; they get it from a wire rope manufacturer whose advice SHOULD
be
heeded.

What you DON'T want to do is to put something like beeswax or grease on

the outside of the cables; that'll only trap water INSIDE the cables and it

doesn't soak in anyway. Cable manufacturers recommend a thin cable
lubricant
that will soak in and not leave any film on the outside of the cable that
will
attract contaminants.

UST does use wax on the tower sections to help them slide back and
forth
during manufacturing.

I
can't remember what it's called, but it's made so dust and grit won't cking

to it and so abrade the cable.

Tnx and correct. It's called PreLube 6 and is recommended by the cable
manufacturers. Periodic application of it will extend the cable service
life.

PS - I know the owner of Champion Radio personally and he seems like a
decent guy. Yes, this is a shameless plug.
