The problem with PVC and antennas usually manifests itself when you 
use the PVC as a coil form for a closely wound coil. W9UCW's article 
on the Minooka special used PVC. In testing at ARRL HQ, W1FB 
"ignited" a coil while running power on 160.

Other'n that, PVC should be pretty transparent to RF at HF amateur frequencies.
