They move next to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm (or one of many other amusement parks) and fight the park when they want to build a new roller coaster, because "the riders screams will be too noisy" (yes, these situations are true.)

The new neighbor who moved in across the street tried to get the neighbors rallied against it, called the City to investigate, and was heartbroken when he was told that I had a tower permit. Never once ever came to talk to me about it or say anything, whatsoever. He's just glared at me all these years. I was so glad that I got that tower permit, even though most people told me "just put it up".

It's getting pretty bad out in the country side too.
More and more of these 3500 sq ft monstrosities are popping up out in
the middle of farm country. Sidled right up next to a farm that's been
there for 100 years. If the farmer is lucky it'll be six months before
the city folk file a complaint with the county, or lawsuit, over the
smell or dust.

Where did you think you were building that house?
If you build your mini-mansion on land zoned agricultural don't complain
about the agriculture going on around you.
I think I'd really enjoy being a judge hearing a case like that.
It would last all of 30 seconds.
