[TowerTalk] EHS or Philly?

I'm using Phillystran to hold up 100 feet of Rohn 25
here at K4RO. For the first 7 years I used unbroken
1/4" EHS. Then in late 1997, I changed all of the guy
wires (twelve of them, with a star bracket) to Phillystran.
I don't see much if any difference in stretch between the
two types, once the initial installation is tensioned properly.
I use a Loos guage to measure the tension twice a year, and
I don't see the Philly stretching now after 9 years in the air.

On K7NV's site (great info on tower design and loading), he runs one scenario (using Grape software) where the tower actually failed due to the Phillystran stretching too much. Granted, this was on a 100' R45 and my installation would be a 60' R25 but it still concerns me. Do you think it would be possible for the Philly to cause a failure? If so, would it be solved by increased initial tensioning (say 15% or maybe even 20% as compared to 10%)? Any help would definitely be appreciated. Thanks.
