[TowerTalk] Restoring antennas ... Is it worth the effort.

I used Rustolium flat black.
I Scotchbright pad the entire KT34-XA, 40mtr rotatable dipole and 20 mtr
Bigstick antennas right out of the box, and then did an acid etch, then
primer, then flat black.
They were up for 28 years and didn't corrode. I was within 3 miles of the
beach in California and now they are in the garage at my new QTH.
They still look pretty good....if you like black!
Fortunately, I won't have to paint any aluminum around here.

Except for corroded connections I doubt making an antenna look new would 
even show a measurable difference in performance. OTOH I like mine to look 
like new as well.<:-))
