Yes...
You take a piece of the same tubing cut a length about 20% of the
entire boon, (6' for a 30 ' boom). now cut a 1/4 inch wide slit out
of the length of the insert...now take hose clamps-compress
it...slide it into the two half's, center it ..remove ther hose
clamps...now sheet metal screw the assembly together.....redesign
your boom to mast bracket so it grabs at least 10 inches of the boom
on each side of center.....use a strong back that is 15% in on each
boom end..and your all set...
I've done this on all my W2PV (3" boom) monobanders, out to 44 and 56
feet. used two strong back on this length of boom..and never had a problem...
