My recommendation is that you report (get it well documented with the police as vandalism).  This may help get 
quicker assistance in the future and help with any claims with any insurance.  

A little extra 'presence' in the area may also help to discourage any further problems.  

Also a couple of 'no trespassering'  and danger signs would not hurt either.
