Why not just take the messenger rope through the center insulator and secure
one leg to a tree or fixed point and the other thru whatever
pulley/counterweight system you have.    

It may require two pulley/counterweights: one for the messenger rope and the
other for the antenna itself. 

The messenger rope will sag taking the brunt of the antenna weight, but the
tension on the antenna itself keeps the antenna relatively straight.

Strictly a guess on my part....
