[TowerTalk] Mast Material

Finally just ordered a new Glen Martin, rather than trying to find use.  I also purchased the Yeasu GSM-065 Thrust Bearting (1 1/2 to 2 1/2).  Now for the second part.  Mast Material.  Im not too savy on that, so if anyone has a suggestion for it let me know.  I have an A-3 Im going to refurbish (My trusty one Ive had for 20 years) and an HD-73 to turn it.

What would you recommend and where locally might I find it.

Also How tall above the GM would you take the A-3?

PS I plan on using 2x12s spanned across 4-5 rafters  2x4's under the feet of the tower and on the other side of the roof sheeting, and threaded rod to Tie it all together.
