[TowerTalk] Shortened Radial Experiments

Excellent work, Brian! It's one thing to see comments in a book,
estimating resonant lengths of on ground or buried radials( with caveats
for 'local variables'), and quite another when the methodical work is
done, quantifying the results.

Your work ties together DeVoldere's comments, along with short radial
work done by Sevick, some years ago. Much of the early literature dealt
with AM broadcast applications, ultimately leading to 120 quarter wave
(physical)
radials. This was taken as gospel in the literature (and the industry) for
a
number of decades.

So, Eddy...you got your answer! Just DO it.

In response to Eddy's (VE3CUI) question about anyone using "shortened
radials",
I have been using these for two years now, with very good results.
