* Hinges and latches take care. Leave them out in a rain a few
*  times and it'll be a "one position" ladder.


Actually, that 30-year old Little Giant of mine lives on top of my service
truck, which sits outside.  It's spent at least half of its life there.  I
don't know if the hinges are some aluminum alloy or stainless, but they do
not corrode at all.  It requires almost no care at all.
